MVP's philosophy is to recruit senior specialists with a proven sector track record and local and international expertise as partners on all the projects in which MVP is mandated.
Sectors in which MVP has been exclusively mandated by its multinational client base include oil and gas, renewable energy, banking and finance, industrial and hospitality and venture capital/fintech.

Energy Sector
Oil and Gas
MVP’s Energy Department has established a reputation for professionalism and discretion and has represented several IOC’s advising on their North African strategy. Dr Mark Leibster, formerly the CEO of Shell North Africa, has been appointed a Non Executive Director of MVP.
Renewable Energy
MVP has signed in May 2019 an exclusive joint venture with Jordan’s leading renewable energy company to develop small to mid sized projects in selected markets in Africa and was the advisor to the first such project in Tunisia in 2021.
Industrial Sector
Advisers to a European multinational on the proposed Tunisian Government privatisation of the largest cement operator in Tunisia.
Ongoing strategic review on behalf of an international cement operator of acquisitions in selected Sub-Saharan African markets.

Previous advisors to a European Bank on its acquisition and post-acquisition strategy of a controlling stake in a private Libyan Bank.

Jan Hein Simmons
Jan Hein has spent his 30+ year professional career in the international hotel industry. A Dutch national, he has developed, implemented and managed successful operational and commercial concepts in different roles, while working on three continents for various international hotel chains.
Former CEO of an international hotel group of 53 properties and 9000 rooms (NH Hotels) he brings all levels of hospitality experience to the MVP team.
Thorsten Wulfes
A German citizen, passionate about sales and marketing, Thorsten has an exceptional background within the prime real estate sector. He played an integral part in the success of several high-profile ventures.
These included the holiday ownership divisions of Marriott International.
Over the last twenty years he has worked on four different continents in leading positions with multi lingual sales teams and has initiated and implemented distinctive marketing strategies within the sector.
Thorsten brings his residential real estate development and sales and marketing expertise to the MVP team.
